The Telecom Fraud Academy

Who Are We?

The Telecom Fraud Academy is GRAPA’s official fraud training organization, offering certification training events based on GRAPA’s standards. Our training events are focused on the specific needs of telecoms fraud professionals whether they are Fraud Management System (FMS) Analysts, Fraud Investigators, Internal Auditors, Network Security, IT Security, Business Intelligence Analysts, or Fraud and Revenue Assurance Teams.

Our Mission

We are committed to offering certification training that has real practical application to the day to day activities of fraud teams, giving them the knowledge of telecoms systems, processes and frauds to be applied within a tried and tested Fraud Governance Framework, and implemented according to established Professional Standards and Principles. The individuals and teams who attain GRAPA Fraud Certification are regarded as true professionals who have the unique skills and knowledge to implement standards-based fraud protection, as well as the credentials to prove it.

Telco Fraud Analyst Certification
GRAPA's Telco Vice Certification Training is a 5-day certification and workshop event designed to provide candidates with a new, innovative, and comprehensive approach to the professional practice of combating fraud in telecoms organizations as

The Telecom Fraud Academy's Telco Vice Certification Program is comprised of the following class days:

  • TVC101: FMS, Framework, and Fundamentals
  • TVC102: Network Foundations and Phreaks
  • TVC103: Billing, Customer, and Credit Frauds
  • TVC104: Partner Foundations and Frauds
  • TVC105: Finance, Channels, Law Enforcement

GRAPA Certification The Telecom Fraud Academy is GRAPA’s official training body for fraud programs, and administers all of GRAPA’s fraud oriented certification training events. GRAPA is currently producing Fraud standards, practices, and principles, and the Telecom Fraud Academy generates courses that ensure our students can learn and utilize these techniques.

Each class or program provided by the Telecom Fraud Academy has been approved by GRAPA’s Certification department and maps to the appropriate body of knowledge so that our courses enable students to GRAPA Certify after the completion of training.

The following levels of GRAPA Certification are available though the Telecom Fraud Academy

  • Telco Fraud Analyst: 40 hrs training - Practitioner Level
  • Telco Fraud Officer: 80 hrs training - Master Level

Meet our Faculty

Telecom Fraud Academy faculty are dedicated to creating programs that are more than lecture sessions where the students simply "watch the show." Telecom Fraud Academy classes are participative and interactive. Students are expected to research current practices at their own organizations and participate in problem solving workshops through the training. This enables students to leave class with a renewed sense of identity, confidence and professionalism.
